Plastic layer on Super Charger for iPhone (AM401)

Originally from ticket #77.

I've just received my Super Charger for iPhone (AM401). I can see that there are some air bubbles between the solar panel and the protective plastic layer. Should I try to dispose of the plastic layer? Or should I leave it on, what means not using the solar light optimally. I already got rid of the protective layer at the back, that was easy. But I can't really find a way to dispose the one at the front.

Thank you for your message.

The protective film should indeed be removed. This served as protection for the solar panel during fabrication.
